Stimulus Package Furniture
- The Stimulus Package is a collaboration album from rapper Freeway and producer Jake One. It is Freeway's fourth studio album and Jake One's second album. It was released on independent hip-hop label Rhymesayers.
- A person's habitual attitude, outlook, and way of thinking
- Small accessories or fittings for a particular use or piece of equipment
- Furniture is the mass noun for the movable objects ('mobile' in Latin languages) intended to support various human activities such as seating and sleeping in beds, to hold objects at a convenient height for work using horizontal surfaces above the ground, or to store things.
- Furniture + 2 is the most recent EP released by American post-hardcore band Fugazi. It was recorded in January and February 2001, the same time that the band was recording their last album, The Argument, and released in October 2001 on 7" and on CD.
- Large movable equipment, such as tables and chairs, used to make a house, office, or other space suitable for living or working
- furnishings that make a room or other area ready for occupancy; "they had too much furniture for the small apartment"; "there was only one piece of furniture in the room"
Freeway sets out to stimulate the Hip Hop industry by signing into law the Hip Hop Recovery and Reinvestment Act with the release of The Stimulus Package. Produced entirely by veteran G-Unit producer Jake One, The Stimulus Package showcases some of Freeway's most dynamic and engaging work to date. Since his breakout Roc-A-Fella debut Philadelphia Freeway in 2003, which achieved gold status, Freeway has been regarded as "your favorite rapper's favorite rapper". The collaboration of heavyweights Freeway & Jake One makes The Stimulus Package already one of the year's most anticipated releases.
My newest toy
So I got a nice "light bucket" to complement my little equatorial-mount refractor. I'd like to say it was my patriotic duty to spend my economic stimulus package, only this thing is *cough*madeinchina*mumble*. At least an American company got a cut, though. (This is probably the best one can hope for.)
This one's not designed for photography--it's intended for visual use. There's no more efficient and cost-effective way to bring ancient photons from across the universe into your eyes than a big old-fashioned Dobsonian. It weighs about a third and costs about a sixth of an equivalent-aperture scope suited for astrophotography.
Haven't had much time behind the eyepiece yet, in part due to the weather. It certainly performs well on Saturn, though. And the hut atop Mt. Timpanogos. Both are pretty clear at 400X magnification (if you look past the atmospheric twinkling, anyhow).
Pleasant surprises about the scope:
* The base fit together perfectly, unlike all the cheap furniture I've assembled.
* It's not actually as heavy as it looks. It can actually be carried as a unit, but I would only attempt that in wide open spaces to avoid bumping the OTA against things.
* The alt-azimuth motion is nice and smooth, better than I expected.
* The 9x50 right-angle correct-image finder is a pleasure to use, very easy to point.
Things I didn't like:
* The secondary mirror arrived out of collimation, and it took hours of tweaking to get it just right. The included laser collimator is not really a precision device. It doesn't seem to want to stay collimated either, and I haven't really been bumping the scope around.
* The scope vibrates for several seconds when you touch it. It doesn't settle down as quickly as my SVP 80ED, which surprised me (I expected this thing to be rock-solid).
* The base cannot fit into the trunk of my compact car. The OTA can, however, but the base needs to ride in a seat.
Boliden & Lack
I picked these up at Ikea in late August and put them together in late October. Oops. I'm trying to revitalize this corner of my room. Call it a stimulus package.
